Why a traveling mom blog?

We've all heard it , the "travel all you can before you have kids" advice, but at some point we all had to do it , with one ,two, three or even six kids (i have seen it ).

We've all counted the seconds until the plane landed , the car stopped or until we set foot in the comfort of our own house...and  promised NEVER to do it again until the kids are in college.

But , what if i tell you that traveling with kids can be less stressful and dare i say fun?!!(exaggeration alert)

So, here is how my story begins:

Two month after i had my first child i started thinking about visiting my family back home ,the thought of it (21 hours total in airports on planes and in transit) sent chills down my spine , i had to travel on my own with a newborn  because my husband couldn't leave his practice .

Eventually,i gathered all the courage i had in me and started looking up tips for traveling with a newborn, to my disappointment there was little if NO major online reference i could find.

So i started making up my own “tips and tricks” to travel light, smart and comfy!

Two years (and one more baby) later, trip after trip, i came up with a  travel "routine" to make these long hours in airports,on planes and in the car go by faster and without knowing had “kind of” mastered the art of planning ,packing, and traveling with kids.("kind of " because nothing can really prepare you for major tantrums on board , diarrhea in the car seat and a blow out during security check )

So ,  here i am sharing what i know, what i came up with and what i’ve been through in my odysseys; and  while i’m no expert , i will be contributing with pediatricians, nutritionists,ob doctors and many experts to provide you with the best advice on traveling with kids , traveling pregnant or  just good old traveling solo (a mom can dream)

So hop on board , buckle up and lets take our kids places without worrying about the trip.

Lets widen their horizons, let them see different places, smell different smells, hear different languages and eat different foods...and let them make memories , after all a memory is the only thing no one can ever take away from you .

Love.

Sabine.
